The Town of Elon is advertising to receive informal bids for the West Lebanon Avenue Parking Improvements – Phase 2.
Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Elon (Owner), 104 S. Williamson Avenue, Elon, NC 27244, until 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in the Elon Town Hall. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The proposed work is generally described as follows:
Contract No. 1 –West Lebanon Avenue Parking Improvements – Phase 2
– Approximately 31 Parking Spaces and 455 LF of 24” Curb & Gutter.
– Approximately 312 LF of 18” RCP Storm Drainage

All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file with the Town of Elon and at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179.

An optional Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 18, 2018 in the Elon Town Hall.
Bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of Bid.
A 5% Bid security must accompany each Bid.
Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the right to reject any or all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities.
