Tonight, kicks off a weekend filled with holiday fun. Join us at Beth Schmidt Park for Christmas in the Park from 6pm until 8pm. Santa arrives at 6pm. There are activities galore including a Christmas Karaoke contest, puppet show, Storytime in the Playground, crafts with Alamance Arts, and more. Join us tonight for a Candyland Christmas in the Park.

Tomorrow, Saturday, December 4th is the Santa Fun Fest in Downtown Elon, which includes the Santa Fun Run and Downtown Tree Lighting. Join us at West College Avenue from 5 until 7pm. The Santa Fun Run takes place at 5:15pm followed by the Downtown Tree Lighting at 6pm. There will be Victorian Carolers, the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who, s’mores stations, hot chocolate, and drones. Bring a canned food item to support the Fill the Deere Food Drive. We look forward to seeing you downtown.

Also, happening in Elon this weekend is the Twin Lakes Lanes of Lights from 5:30pm until 9pm on Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th and the Secondhand Santa Holiday Resale and Craft Fair at the Elon Community Church on Saturday, December 4th from 10am until 4pm. Use caution when traveling to the Lane of Lights event. Pay attention as Westbrook Avenue has an altered traffic pattern. To attend the Lane of Lights, follow the traffic signs to gain entry into Twin Lakes.

The Fill the Deere Food Drive continues through December 22nd. Please make a donation to help support those in need this holiday season. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off in the blue container located next to the John Deere excavator in the parking lot at Town Hall.
