Governor Cooper’s Executive Order 220 will expire Friday, July 30th at 5PM. With its expiration, mandated restrictions are lifted. However, with the substantial increase in COVID cases being seen throughout the state, we urge you to get vaccinated. If you choose to remain unvaccinated, we urge you to continue to follow the three w’s. Wear a mask, wait six feet from others, and wash your hands regularly.

Starting Monday, August 2nd, repaving will begin on the first block of W Trollinger Avenue between S Williamson Avenue and Holt Avenue. When completed, the contractor will begin repaving the first block of W Lebanon Avenue between N Williamson Avenue and Holt Avenue. Signs for road closures and detours will be in place to help direct traffic. Please obey the traffic signs and drive carefully. More information on the entire repaving schedule can be found here.

On Monday, August 2nd, a public hearing will occur for the Town’s ADA Transition Plan. The hearing will be a part of the Board of Aldermen meeting, which will be at Town Hall and begins at 6PM. Click here for the Board of Aldermen agenda. Masks are required to be worn in Town Hall.
