Due to mechanical issues, the leaf vacuum truck is currently out of commission. We are diligently working to repair the problem. We are also pursuing avenues to provide the service through other means. As soon as we have a solution to the problem, we will return to the collection of leaves and grass clippings. In the meantime, please continue to rake them to the curb. If you are a gardener, consider composting the leaves and grass clippings to enhance the soil for next year’s crop.
The Town’s Administrative Offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th in honor of Veteran’s Day.
We are kicking off the holiday season a little early this year. Please plan to come downtown on Thursday, November 12th for the Downtown Luminaries. Luminaries will be out in front of Town Hall and along N Williamson Avenue. While you are there, stop by one of the restaurants and pick up dinner or a drink. The luminaries are placed in partnership with Elon University’s Festival of Lights event. In case of rain, the luminaries will be placed on Tuesday, November 17th.
