On May 14, 2019, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen issued a proclamation designating Saturday, May 18th as Kids to Parks Day. Developed nine years ago by the National Park Trust, Kids to Parks Day is held annually on the third Saturday in May with the goal of introducing kids and families to the local, state, national parks and public lands.
This Saturday, as you bring your papers to be shredded at the Shred-A-Thon, take some extra time and enjoy the park with your children.
