Richard Roedner hired as the new Town Manager for the Town of Elon.
Elon, NC (November 18, 2019) – Mayor Jerry Tolley announced this evening that Mr. Richard Roedner will be joining the Town of Elon as the new Town Manager. Mr. Roedner has over 30 years of municipal and county experience and most recently served as the Town Manager for Topsham, ME. Mr. Roedner has a strong background in community development, planning, and code enforcement.
“There were over 25 applicants for the manager position. Our process was thorough and we believe Mr. Roedner is the best choice. He has a proven track record of achieving the goals put before him and we are excited to have him join our team” said Mayor Tolley.
Mr. Roedner holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern Maine and a Bachelor’s in Community Development from the University of New Hampshire. He begins work with the Town on January 6, 2020.
