Lane Closures for Great Cape Escape Race.
Elon, NC (September 9, 2019) – Please be advised that there will be partial lane closures during the Great Cape Escape Race scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2019. The west bound lane of E. Haggard Ave beginning at the intersection of E. Haggard Ave and York Road. The northbound lane of N Williamson Ave beginning at the intersection of Haggard Ave and Williamson Ave to the intersection of N Williamson Ave and Phoenix Drive. The lanes will be closed from 7am until 10:45am. Town of Elon and Elon University Police Officers will be on hand to direct traffic and ensure the safety of the runners. Please drive carefully through the area during the race.
The Great Cape Escape Race is an annual event conducted by the Elon Physician Assistant Student Society and the Open Door Clinic of Alamance County. All proceeds from the race are donated to the Open Door Clinic of Alamance County to support their efforts.
