Kathy Barham becomes Elon’s Finance Director
Kathy Barham has been with the Town of Elon since 2013. She started as the Accounts Payable Clerk but quickly learned government payroll and has been payroll specialist since 2015. Her professional background has been in owning 3 businesses with her husband and working at the nonprofit Christian Counseling Center. Kathy is excited about learning her new position and feels very thankful for this opportunity.
The Finance Department provides technical and fiscal support to the Town Manager and all of the Town’s Departments. The Finance Department oversees the following functions: revenue/cashier, accounts payable, utility and tax billing, capital assets, monitoring and reporting for payroll and grants, budget preparation and monitoring, general ledger analysis and financial reports.
